Hungary and the Austrian state of Styria have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on developing and testing electric and self-driving vehicles, the Innovation and Technology Ministry said on Friday, Hungarian news agency MTI reports.
The agreement was signed by Innovation and Technology Minister LÃ¡szlÃ³ Palkovics and Barbara Eibinger-Miedl, representing the Austrian state of Styria.
The MoU strengthens the cooperation between Zala County (Western Hungary) and Styria, and invites the neighboring region of Maribor, in Slovenia, to join the project which could produce a regional knowledge centre.
HungaryÊ¼s government is building a HUF 45 bln test track for self-driving vehicles in Zala County.
